Design Photography
When Design Photo received a 28-by-49-inch monitor to promote its services, Joginder Singh saw it as the foundation for a visual identity we could refine over time. With limited shift time for student monitors, we needed a modular template that any staff member with basic design sensibilities could adapt, distinctive enough to read as Design Photography yet aligned with OCAD University, including Gotham from the 2011 rebrand.
The palette centred on red from Lighten Up! The Open Access Wall Studio, linking the studio’s earlier work to the new system. Typography, colour, and layout together gave Design Photography a flexible, recognisable voice across notices, events, and information graphics.
