Version 0.6

Birth

Putting My Best Foot Forward

2026-08-26

This update will be short and sweet, since I want to dedicate more time and resources to getting the next four projects online as soon as possible.

The main addition in version 0.6 is three more projects—three more bodies of work to explore, organize, and filter through. With the total number of projects planned for version 1.0 now increased to ten, I’m roughly 60% of the way through the most time-consuming part of development: organizing the content. In reality, I’m probably a little further along than that, since this update includes some of the heavier projects I’ve worked on.

One thing I’ve been thinking about while building this portfolio is the nostalgic quality of the process. I’ve spent a lot of time downloading hundreds of files from OneDrive and sorting through screenshots, photographs, renders, videos, and fragments of documentation to figure out which ones best represent each project and its development.

Looking back through that material brings back the limitations I had to work around, the experiments that went nowhere, and the excitement of finally getting something to function. It’s rewarding to see how much I’ve learned, but the process also comes with a less comfortable feeling: “Do I really want to show this? Will anyone even look at it? Is there a point in spending so much time on a portfolio?”

I’m building this portfolio to apply for jobs, which is one of the most terrifying parts of pursuing a creative career. There’s something deeply vulnerable about presenting years of work, progress, and personal ambition, only to wonder whether it will be enough for someone else to recognize your potential.

At the same time, I know that achieving a dream wouldn’t feel nearly as meaningful if it were easy. The uncertainty is part of the process. All I can really do is remind myself why I started, keep refining the work, and continue moving forward—even when the result is difficult to predict.

For now, this is me putting my best foot forward.

More soon.
